The Mornington Peninsula community are once again invited to the annual Luke Batty T20, where a Tyabb All Stars team will take on the Victoria Police Cricket Club.
These two sides have competed for the Luke Batty Memorial Shield since 2014, when Luke was tragically lost in a domestic violence incident.
Now, every season, this match is played to commemorate the memory of Luke, and to keep raising awareness in the fight against domestic violence.
This season, BRAD HODGE will once again be playing, along with some local stars from Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club.
Everyone is most welcome and encouraged to wear their club colurs.
The game will be played at Bunguyan Reserve Tyabb, on Friday the 11th of Feb. Action kicks off at 5pm!
The Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association President Stephen Morone, Board Members and current Life Members regret the passing of their fellow Life Member Ron Grant.
Ron was an active member on the NPCA and then the MPCA committee for over 20 years and was formally granted life Membership on the 16th of August 1971.
He was a strong advocate for Juniors playing Cricket not only because it gave the players a sense of belonging to the local community but a grounding for how to work together as a Team through communication, sportsmanship and commitment to others.
He also understood that a clubs future success was with the development of Juniors.
He was a very Active member on the Board Junior pennant during the 1960s.
Ron was a long-time active member at the Tyabb Cricket Club holding various roles from President, Secretary Treasurer, committee member and club captain.
We take this opportunity to extend our sincere condolences to the Grant Family
