MPCA 2016 JUNIOR PRESENTATIONS

The MPCA will hold its Junior Presentation on 11th March 2016 with details as follows;

  • Date: Friday 11th March 2016
  • Venue: Mornington Cricket Club, Main st Mornington
  • Time: 7.00 pm

Premiership pennants and player awards will be presented on the night.

 

 

MPCA SEMI FINALS – VOLUNTEER UMPIRES

The MPCA  Semi – Finals are being played on weekend 5th & 6th March 2016

There are 32 matches and  MPCUA are looking for volunteer umpires to assist. Volunteers will stand with an official umpire and will receive a fee of $130 a day as well as receive an umpires uniform.

MPCA Junior Finals – Umpires Needed

The MPCA Junior Semi – Finals are being played this Sunday, 21st February, commencing at 10.00am.

The MPCUA are looking for approx. 6 umpires for the games. Volunteers will stand with an official umpire and will receive a fee of $100 for the day as well as receive an umpires uniform.

VCCL Country Week

Country Week commences on this Monday, Feb 1st, with MPCA competing in Provincial Division & Division 2.

Provincial side will play at:
Monday – Princes Park, Carlton
Tuesday – Camberwell
Wednesday – Oakleigh, Warrigul Rd
Thursday – Noble Park

Division 2 side will play at:
Monday – Frankston, Jubilee Park
Tuesday – Prahran
Wednesday – Ivanhoe Park
Thursday – Melton

2016 Jack Peacock Cup Grand Final

 

The Board is pleased to announce details for the Jack Peacock Cup Grand Final and the match, Sorrento CC vs Delacombe Park CC,  will be held at the Home of the MPCA, Graydens Rd, Tuerong, commencing at 3 pm. 

A curtain raiser match will be held between MPCA Over 60s vs Waverley Over 60s which will start at 9.30am and be a 30 over match. 

Rotary Club of Somerville/Tyabb will be providing a marquee to allow competing Clubs to have separate rooms and they will also be conducting a sausage sizzle on the day; however, it will be BYO drinks. 

Winner on the day will receive the MPCA prize money of $4000 and go on to compete in the CV Regional T20 Competition next season.

 

 

VMCU CARNIVAL – MPCA PERFORMANCE

The 2016 VMCU Carnival finished on Sunday 17th January and the MPCA has again performed well in the tournament.

Congratulations to Under 16 Mackay Cup side who won the Grand Final yesterday and the Cup for the second year in a row.

Other MPCA sides performed well as follows:
– Under 16 Bietzel Shield: Semi finals
– Under 14 Nolan Cup: Quarter finals
– Under 12 Mitchell Shield: Quarter finals

So well done to all players and many thanks to Coaches, Team Managers & parents who help out during the Carnival.

Special thanks to the members of the Junior Pennant Committee for the time & effort put in from the start of the program back in March 2014 which involved many training sessions and the difficult selection process to get the teams to the Carnival.

 

 

2016 MPCA Country Week Development Squad

Selectors have announced the MPCA Development team to compete in the VCCL Country Week Carnival which is to be held in the week February 1st to 5th.

To finalise the squad a Team Manager and Bus Driver/scorer are required, any interested please contact MPCA General Manager as soon as possible.
