Walter Owen WEDGWOOD PASSED AWAY

It is with deep regret that the MPCA announces the death of Walter Owen Wedgwood.

Wally was the son of MPCA Life member Walter B Wedgwood but was a well respected person and player in the MPCA in his own right.

Wally represented the MPCA in Country Week from 1969 until 1975 and played in the famous 1972 Group ‘A’ Premiership side where he top scored with 21 runs out of the MPCA’s Total score of 69, who but then bowled Leongatha out for 37.

Wally also served as a member of the MPCA Executive and Senior Selector from 1972 until 1976.

The Board and all members of the MPCA pass on their condolences to Wally’s family and friends.
